The Early Years Foundation Stage is vital as it helps your child get ready for school as well as preparing them for future learning and success.

In partnership with parents – together we make a difference

Parent Partnership

All children are designated a key person who is responsible for producing their learning journeys and development records. These are available for parents/carers to read at any time, as they are encouraged to be part of their child’s learning.

We believe it is important for you, as a parent, to feel comfortable with us and for you to get to know the staff looking after your little one. Supporting the families of our children is paramount, and we offer the following to help with the transition process:

  • All parents/carers are encouraged to visit the setting
  • Free one-hour trial induction session
  • All parents/carers are contacted with an update on how their child has settled in
  • All children receive a diary to record any information
  • Parents/carers are welcome to call to speak to a member of staff anytime

Meal Times

Hidden Treasures regards meal times as an important part of the day. Eating represents a social time for children to learn about healthy eating and we very much appreciate donations of healthy snacks, which are shared amongst the children during snack times.

We also offer milk and water during snack times and water throughout the sessions. Children can also bring in a named drinks bottle, which they can use as and when they need it.

During lunchtime, children can either bring in their own packed lunch or order a hot dinner that includes a pudding and costs just £2.30. This is cooked in the school kitchen and will need to be ordered and paid for daily.

SEND

Hidden Treasures is committed to the integration of children with additional needs and strives to help them develop to their full potential alongside other children.

We have a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) whose role is to support children, parents, carers, the assigned key person, and outside agencies where necessary.

We have policies that cover safeguarding, complaints, compliments, accidents, first aid, allergies, managing behaviour, cameras and mobile phones, sickness and illness. Parents are welcome to have copies at their request.

Fantastic all round cannot fault! The staff are a joy and my children loved it here.
